Baiona.com is an independent travel guide covering Baiona, the Cíes Islands, the coast to Oia and A Guarda, Tui and Vigo — written to help you plan well before you go and make good decisions when you are there.
What we cover
- How to get to Baiona from Vigo, Porto and Santiago, with realistic journey times.
- Which tours are worth booking, ranked honestly and updated as ratings change.
- What to see in town and along the coast, and how to get there.
- Where to stay, from the Parador to small harbour hotels.
- When to come, and how to plan around the Atlantic weather.
How we research
Journey times, prices and opening arrangements are checked against operators, transport companies and booking platforms, and reviewed regularly. Tour ratings and review counts come directly from GetYourGuide; hotel scores from Trip.com. Where a figure moves around — entrance fees, bus timetables, boat seasons — we give a range or tell you to check, rather than pretending to a precision that does not exist.
Where we express an opinion, it is an opinion. We tell you when the choice of tours is thin, when a product is new and unproven, and when a sight is better done on your own.
How the site is funded
We are a GetYourGuide affiliate partner, and accommodation links go to Trip.com. If you book through a link on this site, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That is the only way this guide is funded — there is no advertising, no sponsored placements and no paid inclusion in any ranking. Read the full affiliate disclosure.
Corrections
Prices change, timetables change, hotels change hands. If something here is out of date or wrong, please tell us — we would rather fix it than defend it. Write to us on the contact page.
