The Parador de Baiona and the walls of Monterreal on their headland, seen from across the water

Where to Stay in Baiona

A castle hotel on a headland, harbour-front inns and a spa on the open Atlantic — here is where to sleep.

Baiona is compact, and for most travellers the choice is simple: stay in or beside the old town and walk everywhere. The one great exception is the Parador, which sits inside the fortress on its own headland and is a destination in itself.

Below are the properties we would look at first, all checked on Trip.com. Guest scores are shown where Trip.com displays them. We do not show hotel photographs — we have no licence to use them — and we do not quote nightly rates, which change constantly with the season. Every card links to live prices and availability.

When to book

Baiona has relatively few hotel rooms and a very concentrated season. For mid-July to late August, and for the first weekend of March, reserve as early as you can. In winter some properties close for several weeks. Then plan your days with the best tours.
